The business: Country Carpets & Beds, Hunmanby & Pickering, Yorkshire

The owner: Chris Dyson

Trading since: 1990s

FloweMedia client since: 2013

Chris Dyson's been selling carpets and beds since the 1990s. Knows his products. Knows his customers. Over 350 five-star Google reviews and page 1 of Google for more than a decade - that's not an accident.

But something was costing him money he couldn't see.

When Chris was on the floor with a customer, or out on a fitting, calls went to voicemail. Team members were handling enquiries on separate platforms with no shared view of what anyone else was dealing with. Leads were coming in - the website was doing its job - and then quietly disappearing.

"We knew we were missing things," Chris says. "But you can't fix what you can't see."

What Changed

We introduced Chris to TryggR - a communication hub built for local service businesses like his.

All customer communications in one place. A missed call text-back that responds automatically so no enquiry goes cold. Team visibility so everyone's working from the same picture. Review management that makes asking for a Google review straightforward rather than something you remember to do when you get round to it.

Chris didn't need to become technical. He just needed things to work.

What Happened in Week One

First week using TryggR at the Hunmanby store, Chris missed 10 calls.

Before TryggR, those were 10 gone. No follow-up. No record. No second chance.

TryggR caught every one. Automatic text-back. Professional response, whether Chris was available or not.

Three of those ten converted. That's £7,500 in sales. Week one.

Shortly after, a single text conversation - managed through TryggR - led to a £45,000 sale. One conversation that only happened because the system made missing it impossible.

"The transparency is what I value most. With a team, I can see absolutely everything that's going on. Everything comes into one place, creating a record for both staff and customers." - Chris Dyson

The Website

Alongside TryggR, we recently launched Chris's third website with FloweMedia - and he'll admit he wasn't sure he needed one.

"Absolutely blown away with the new website - both the look, the feel, the content and the photography. What's not to love about it?"- Chris Dyson

The new site continues what's kept Country Carpets & Beds on page 1 since 2013.

The combination means Chris no longer needs the advertising spend that used to be necessary to stay visible.

The TryggR review management has made a difference here too. Asking for reviews is simple now, and the numbers show it. Customers tell Chris when they call: "We're calling you because of your reviews."

What Happened Next

Chris opened a second showroom in Pickering.

The decision to bring TryggR in for the new location wasn't a difficult one. When a system has already recovered £52,500 in sales in the first few weeks - revenue that would have quietly walked past the business - you don't go back to guessing.

"I don't know how businesses run without TryggR."- Chris Dyson
